Hendrick’s gin to launch hot air balloon in Vancouver
Scottish-made Hendrick’s Gin will gain some publicity in Vancouver, Canada on 2nd and 3rd August as its branded hot air balloon will be participating in the Honda Celebration of Light.
As part of the festival celebrations, the hot air balloon will decorated with roses and cucumber to signify the flavour of the premium gin. While tethered to the Vancouver Art Gallery, the balloon will float 20 metres in the air.
Lucky festival-goers with a Golden Ticket will even be able to take a ride in the hot air balloon. People can get a chance to win a Golden Ticket either by entering on-site or by visiting one of the gin’s stockists in advance. Winners will also receive a free one-on-one energy reading.
While the balloon suspends in the air, Hendrick’s Cucumber Organ of Remarkably Glorious Auditory Nirvana (or C.O.R.G.A.N. for short), which is made from whole cucumbers, will play accompanying music in the Hendrick’s Gin air departure lounge.
Open to all festival goers, the lounge will feature entertainment and music, and visitors will have the opportunity to sample Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice variety, a limited edition scheduled for release in Canada later this year.
Hendrick’s Gin’s national brand ambassador, Alvin P Ramchurn, said:
“The Hendrick’s Gin ‘Portal of peculiarity’ at the Honda Celebration of Light downtown will be enchanting for the eyes, ears and taste buds. We look forward to elevating festivalgoers’ experience with our ocular and auditory spectacle in true Hendrick’s Gin fashion.”
